Transmission 3D Model

This Transmission 3D model was captured with an Artec 3D Scanner.

  • Scanning time:  30 min
  • Processing time: 90 min
  • Scanner used: Artec Eva

An old transmission box that was scanned with Eva. This is a good example of a challenging object, since it has many deep holes. Its inner side, however was a real pleasure to scan and process. It took approximately 2 hours to obtain the finished model of this object, including all scanning and post-processing. The 3D model features a full range of surfaces, contours, and shapes. There’s everything from flat, thin edges, to cylindrical shapes, slits and honeycomb structures, and much more. When scanning for reverse engineering purposes, both accuracy and precision are vital. This comprehensive 3D model has all the characteristics of the original, and is ready for exporting to CAD/CAM software.
