CleanRiver Recycling Solutions Imagine a world without waste

Story by Karen Majerly on June 25, 2013

Imagine a world without waste. That’s the mission of CleanRiver Recycling Solutions; a forward-thinking recycling container manufacturing company. For over twenty years, CleanRiver has developed innovative recycling containers, recycling stations and waste bins designed to support their customer’s sustainability efforts.

CleanRiver’s recycling container products are made from a material that is 98% post consumer waste and they are actually recyclable themselves at the end of their useful life.  What’s equally impressive, and speaks to their mission, is that they do so with a total facility landfill diversion rate in excess of 95% which is an “unheard of” level for a manufacturing facility of this type.

A Javelin Technologies customer since 2009, Clean River uses SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD software to provide in-house design for customized recycling solutions.  From photo-realistic renderings of conceptual designs to a completely paperless drawing and data system in their shop SolidWorks has quickly become an integral software in multiple aspects of their business.

With over 5000 product installations worldwide CleanRiver continues to serve many market segments including restaurant chains (including Tim Horton’s), Universities & Colleges, Military bases, and Offices of all sizes including the largest one in the world, The Pentagon.

We initially evaluated and benchmarked several different 3D CAD software providers and packages.  The choice was clear that SolidWorks would be a great fit for our needs.  Getting the right software is one thing but I believe the fantastic initial service and continued professional support from Javelin is what has allowed us to leverage the investment many times over.
