Seasonal Flu Vaccine Safety and Pregnant Women

October 5, 2015 Leave a Comment

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends routine immunization of pregnant women with the flu shot at any stage of pregnancy.  The CDC states that pregnant women have a higher risk for serious complications from the flu than non-pregnant women. Getting a flu shot  helps to protect pregnant women, their unborn babies, and protects the baby after birth from the flu. If you are pregnant, please talk to your healthcare provider about the flu shot. More information on the Flu vaccine safety and pregnant women
